In accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Education, University, and Research (MIUR), the training program includes theoretical lessons, practical lessons, exercises, case study examinations, and individual study. This activity is always conducted under the supervision of the Scientific Committee and is guided by the teaching staff. Classes are held on weekends, two per month on Saturdays or Sundays, plus one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every two months, to allow attendance by those with professional commitments during the week.

The Specialization School in Brief Strategic Psychotherapy, based on the principle of learning by doing , is structured primarily around applied work, with most hours dedicated, after initial theoretical training, to videotape study and actual clinical practice. In addition to the hours dedicated to basic theoretical teaching, during the first two years, the work is primarily focused on studying, with the instructor, videotapes of completed therapies for individual conditions, from the first to the last session. For each case, communication, relationships, and the techniques used for treatment and resolution are analyzed session by session.

Particular attention will be paid to the clinical interview technique, which in brief strategic therapy is both diagnosis and intervention, as it can, even in the first session, change and restructure the patient's perception of their problem. Subsequently, during the third and fourth years, each student will have the opportunity to work with three to five patients in co-therapy with Giorgio Nardone and will be able to observe the therapies conducted by the Director of the School via closed-circuit television, thus gaining insight into their profession. The cases followed and completed will form the basis of the final dissertations for the graduate students.
