"Create from a" is the seventh of the Thirty-six stratagems, the most famous and ancient treaty of military strategy in China, which involves inventing something non-existent to bring about a concrete change in the situation, a perception of reality from non-ordinary perspectives, which it makes us discover alternatives not contemplated by reasoning alone. Giorgio Nardone takes his cue from this stratagem, already mentioned in Riding your own tiger, to reflect on invention, that hidden road that no one could see and that appears only when intelligence and intuition are able to work in agreement, supporting each other. In the first part of this book we retrace the heuristics of inventing and creating: we start from the Alexandrian school to get to the present day, passing from Heron, Archimedes, Hypatia, Newton, to get to Steve Jobs, up to proposing, in the second, a method of learning to invent. Creating from a, therefore, imagining the "never seen before", is the most important technique also to renew oneself, to grow, to get out of crises.
