The psychiatrist must have herramientas de intervención psychoterapeutica. The activity of psychiatrists in institutions, the volume of patients they handle, the estimated time of attention and the difficulties in dealing with regular citations mean that traditional psychotherapeutic interventions cannot be applied. Brief strategic therapy can constitute the type of psychotherapeutic intervention of the psychiatrist anywhere, including the institutional one, it is an advanced, rapid and effective technique that can be applied in the clinical setting in three circumstances: symptoms or reactions through them Which patients experience illness, the specific handling of illness symptoms and the patient's questions are not related to the reason for consultation but which generate tension or discomfort. TBE is based on an empirical-experimental model based on ordinary logic and on an organic and behavioral principle defined as the perceptive-reactive system which is part of the character of the symptom and its persistence through a constructivist cybernetic operational description. Through the so-called Strategic Dialogue it is possible to clarify the difficulty of an assertive manner with interventions that allow a rapid modification of perception
emotion-cognition as well as behavior and symptom modulation.
